The Icosahedron is one of the five Platonic Solids (also see model set S-5). Its twenty faces are equilateral triangles. In this model, each face is further divided into six congruent 30-60-90 triangles, for a total of 120 triangles in all. The model is constructed from fifteen slotted rings lying flat in fifteen planes – each plane corresponding to a plane from the Icosahedral Moebius Sphere (I-1). The model is also one of four in the set S-4, the Icosahedra.
*The model is shown in green, but is available also in red, yellow and blue. This kit is moderately difficult to assemble. The Icosahedron and its symmetry group is one of the most admired objects in mathematics. Shipping included in price.
